It's easier and cleaner to pour the new oil into the oil filter housing prior to installing the oil filter

The correct oil for w272/273 is with mark 229.5

  • LunaTheShapeShifter !!!

Castro GTX is not correct oil, you can use Mobil 0-30 or 5-30 depending on weather at time of oil change

Before you evacuate the oil you should open the oil filter top. This is the way MBUSA teaches their techs. It helps the oil drop to the pan by removing the airlock.

how much oil does your pump method remove? does it get most of the oil out? have you compared the amount you haven't taken out versus how much you put in?

    • Neck.Tips
      Neck.Tips 6 miesięcy temu +1

The pump actually reaches further into the pan to extract more oil than just pulling the plug.

depends on your local stealership , when both of my cars were still under the warranty, i had to use factory warranty few times and had no problems nor any questions , if you do this keep the receipt for the oil and filter,

What kind of pump you use to suck the oil out of engine. Dealers do the same way. they suck the oil out too with pump. But they have good pump. Because MB has wind breaker at the bottom and you have to break the tabs to get to the oil plug. If you have good suction pump the bravo.I recommend the same as this gentleman did.Change after every 5K miles not 10K. It is safe and cheep because we all punch the cars time to time and it is good to keep engine relaxed with new oil.

Do you see any benefit of doing oil changes every 5k miles over the manufacturer's recommendation of every 10k miles? I'm saying oil is expensive, is it worth the extra hassle if the owner's manual lists it under every 10,000 miles? Is this increasing fuel economy? Car longevity? or even Ride comfort?

It depends on your driving style. Take a look at your oil and decide. Remember manufacturer's recommendations are in an ideal situation and does not take into account weather, driving style etc. But changing oil just for the sake of it does not add any additional benefits.

Hi, you have great channels! I like the Toro videos in particular. Wondering if you can shed light on the reliability of the E350. Would you buy a 2013 wagon without warranty?

I dont understand...whats the regular way? Why not just do it yourself?
You should pour the oil through the filter opening. It's a lot easier.

    • kerry Flynn
kerry Flynn 2 lat temu +1

Pouring it through the oil filter opening is way easier. The hole is a lot larger.

    • DIY Source
      DIY Source  2 lat temu

+Steven Segal regular way is every other time, draining your oil through the oil pan drain, because you can get all the oil out trough the dip stick
no you should pour the oil through oil cap,
