Thank you I didn’t know the dipstick was in the back of the engine I thought that was tranny fluid👋🏻🤝
The dipstick only measures the top of the oil, it won't tell you it's empty!
Thank you for the video! Wow! I find this video very educational hopefully next time I will try to change my oil my self! 😃
how to top up steering oil for same model? plz
sarshar alvi look under driver side air intake
oil every 5k are you joking every 15-20 is fine
mgs771 Mercedes service intervals are at 10k miles , I notice a slight mpg increase and performance difference with every fresh oil change , Choice Is your. But I’ll continue to do my oil changed every 5k Miles ,
+DIY Source not kidding ever new car has a 17000 reset. It's long life oil for a reason
what !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!15-20 ? you must be kidding ,
It's easier and cleaner to pour the new oil into the oil filter housing prior to installing the oil filter
There is no way it’s 8.5 liters. It’s only 6.5 liters
Stefan Boro I recommend you research anything before you comment or at least open your Owners manual
Anyone knows how oil mix up with coolant in mercedese250
Bad head gasket maybe?
The correct oil for w272/273 is with mark 229.5
Castro GTX is not correct oil, you can use Mobil 0-30 or 5-30 depending on weather at time of oil change
Before you evacuate the oil you should open the oil filter top. This is the way MBUSA teaches their techs. It helps the oil drop to the pan by removing the airlock.
how much oil does your pump method remove? does it get most of the oil out? have you compared the amount you haven't taken out versus how much you put in?
The pump actually reaches further into the pan to extract more oil than just pulling the plug.
I put 8.5 Liters with a new filter. is it correct?Castrol GTX costed me 55$
DIY Source I also have a problem with the Right Cornering light as said on the display. how do I change that?
read the owner manual or check your , because its all depends and the year
Hello, what is the name of the tool used to remove the oil filter housing. I dont know what it is called and what size is needed for my vehicle THnak you
Try this link: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCEDES-OIL-FILTER-TOOL-76MM-INSIDE-DIAMETER-FOR-A-WIDE-RANGE-OF-MODELS-/112295805089?hash=item1a255a00a1:g:3NwAAOSwa81XSCzz
How do we put the piece back ?
I prefer the old fashion way, drain bolt, removes all the contaminants.
My experience doing both vacuum and also draining via stopper bolt... vacuum gets more oil out... if you are careful and get the probe installed correctly.
Terry Tak absolutely it's the batter way , but I do it every 10 k miles , and ever 5k just like in the video ,
would this void any warranty on the car?
depends on your local stealership , when both of my cars were still under the warranty, i had to use factory warranty few times and had no problems nor any questions , if you do this keep the receipt for the oil and filter,
What is the vac that you use?
what are you spraying on the cover?
you should specify how many quarts does it take and how to put in a oil filter
Bernard Diaz you should refer to ur owner manual , because the amount is different for awd , RWD , e550 and etc ,
What kind of pump you use to suck the oil out of engine. Dealers do the same way. they suck the oil out too with pump. But they have good pump. Because MB has wind breaker at the bottom and you have to break the tabs to get to the oil plug. If you have good suction pump the bravo.I recommend the same as this gentleman did.Change after every 5K miles not 10K. It is safe and cheep because we all punch the cars time to time and it is good to keep engine relaxed with new oil.
does anyone know what are those 2 big long tubes on the side coming from the engine to the outside grill. and what are they for? thanks.
Thank you so much
air tubes before your air filter,
How much latter oil ?
i buy 8 liters for $50 + $12 filter
What mobil 1 type did you use?
+mers-benz I was wondering what is a b5 service mean on a 2011 mercedes benz e350?
+mers-benz thank u
yes mobil 1 full synthetic 0w40
+mers-benz do u use full synthetic?
Do you see any benefit of doing oil changes every 5k miles over the manufacturer's recommendation of every 10k miles? I'm saying oil is expensive, is it worth the extra hassle if the owner's manual lists it under every 10,000 miles? Is this increasing fuel economy? Car longevity? or even Ride comfort?
It depends on your driving style. Take a look at your oil and decide. Remember manufacturer's recommendations are in an ideal situation and does not take into account weather, driving style etc. But changing oil just for the sake of it does not add any additional benefits.
Hi, you have great channels! I like the Toro videos in particular. Wondering if you can shed light on the reliability of the E350. Would you buy a 2013 wagon without warranty?
I have a 2011 E350 and I would buy the 2013 wagon without warranty with a good inspection done on it.
The newer Benz don't have a drain plug.
+kerry Flynn yes it does have a oil drain plug
I dont understand...whats the regular way? Why not just do it yourself? You should pour the oil through the filter opening. It's a lot easier.
Pouring it through the oil filter opening is way easier. The hole is a lot larger.
+Steven Segal regular way is every other time, draining your oil through the oil pan drain, because you can get all the oil out trough the dip stick no you should pour the oil through oil cap,
Similar for W211? I've always done it the "normal way" but this way seems quicker and cleaner.
+RedLight GreenArrow if your w211 is 2006 or newer it has exactly the same engine, so yes its the same, every other 5K miles i do the "normal way"
Nice video for my favourite car, Thanks :-)
+Philip Butterworth no problem :)
+Winston Smith brand doesn't really mater, what I'm using is marine pump, that i use for the oil change on my boat
+mers-benz What brand pump is that?
+Michael Hickey thanks
